but let me tell you a little more about myself

HEY THERE, I'M CAROLINE!!

But I was scared of being seen, perceived, judged...so I only allowed myself to take photography so far. A family photoshoot here, a free session there, my friend's baby shower, and so on and so forth. I did AP classes in high school for photography, learned all about film, exposure triangle, Lightroom & Photoshop, but I was constantly telling myself "who would want to book with me" and "Photography can't possibly be a real career...I need a I real job." So I put photography in the back burner, and started working, along with starting a degree in cybersecruity - a real profession.

Let me tell you the "creative girl to STEM" pipeline is CRAZY. And all the time, I was unsatisfied, unhappy, and trying to be something that I wasn't: analytical, data obsessed, machine-focused, code-driven. But my real self has always been empathetic, emotive, creative, soft...so you can imagine how lost I felt. I prayed a lot during this time and even bought my current camera on a whim in 2023.

I, again, talked myself into setting the camera down and pursuing a real opportunity, a real job. So, I continued working in tech, finishing school, and got married to my husband, Gabriel, in 2024. It was that year that I started to really explore who I was and what I truly wanted for my life. I started creating content, I travelled, I got a dog (10/10 highly recommend), that we named "Sunday, " and slowly started to find my creative self again.

It was then, in October 2025, that I was called into a Zoom meeting by HR and my boss, to find out I was being terminated effectively immediately. BOOM. My whole world, flipped upside down, I panicked, you panicked, we all panicked. But after a few weeks of racing thoughts and not knowing what to do, I was at the gym, listening to a finance podcast, when I felt God tell me to pick up my camera and start Christmas Mini Photo Sessions. And now, here we are. My photography website, with photos from real clients, and now you...reading this and being witness to my real job, a real calling.

We can only ignore what's meant for us so long before it slaps you smack dab in the middle of the face. I tried to be something I wasn't for years before I came to terms with who I really am, what I like, my fears, my insecurities, my best qualities... and that's become the soul behind my work. You only have one life, one now. While you're waiting to be "perfect" or look a certain way, have a certain amount in the bank account, have everyyyyything figured out so you can finally take that photo to put on your Instagram, your kids are growing up, your parents are getting older, your siblings are moving away, your friends are about to graduate, your baby is almost here...life doesn't wait, and neither should you. Embrace the now, welcome it, accept it, document it.

Photography has been a part of my life since I was a baby. Being the eldest daughter, granddaughter, & niece on both sides of the family means being fawned over and photographed DAILY. I look back at old photos and videos and realize I got my passion from my dad, who was constantly documenting everything on photo & video (and we still have all that footage to this day!).

I might've started in front of the camera, but as I got older, I quickly realized I loved being behind it too. Documenting life as it happened before my very eyes, and let me tell you...I LOVE LIFE! The good parts, the sad parts, the flaws, the inconsistencies...the things that feel real and honest.

My faith has always been a key part of my life and identity. All my creativity, my gifts, and talents...they all come from the greatest Creator there ever was. My mission is to use my gifts to honor and glorify Him always. To bring the love of Jesus to every interaction, to every client session, to capture His creation in a beautiful and profound way. Life can be so hard, but it can also be so beautiful and full of love and light. That's the beauty I will always strive to share.
